The Better Business Bureau , however, wants to encourage people through their $100,000 silent auction at the show to only shop from accredited businesses to avoid scams when making home improvements. Also this year is Hero Day on Friday, April 1, when all active military personnel, veterans, firefighters, medical professionals, police officers and other first responders receive free admission all day.

New data from the Federal Trade Commission reports that consumers lost $5.8 billion to fraud in 2021. Hundreds of reputable businesses joined BBB at the Central Bank Convention Center to eliminate the concerns of ongoing schemes.
